General Instructions on Connecting to your web site via Contribute

Once you have connected to your site, your site should load up similar to that below. Click on "Edit Page" to edit that page, or click on "Choose" to select the page you wish to edit.

Once you click on "Edit", Contribute will now load in the page in an editable fashion. You will see something similar to the screen shot below. This shows how the page is made up and what areas you can actually edit. (See below) Any changes you make to the page here, once published will be seen immediately live on your travel web site.

OK, Lets edit your home page...

Editing the home page to your travel site is easy. Once you connect to your site via contribute, your home page should load in automatically. If not, simply click on the "Choose" button at the top right and navigate to the following web page: index.asp (this is the name of your home page).

Once you are able to edit your home page, you should be able to see areas on your home page that are editable. For design reasons certain parts of the page are locked and you can not edit these. To enter new text, prices and star ratings please see our hints and tips on how to edit these quickly and easily. It important to note that a certain work method is needed to change all text on your site, as not too cause broken links or disfigurement. Our hints and tips section really does help explain more.

Ok lets change the text on your home page, Lets add some new prices (NOT the "Best Deals" - we'll come to them later).
TOP TIP: Editing text on your site is easier if you click in between the text you wish to change and then delete the letters around the new word you don't need. This keeps the text the same colour and style and reduces the amount of work needed to reassign colours/styles/sizes etc. (See below).

OK lets now change the content for the Best Deals. Including the title, star rating and price.
Let's change the titles for the Best Deals.

Let's now change the star rating picture for the new best deal offer/s.
Lets change the content on the Best Deal Offer Page.

Navigate to the page you wish to edit and click on "Edit Page" in Contribute. When the page loads, you will be able to edit most of the content on the page. There are a few areas within the page that will need to be changed. A few of these areas are shown below.

Now lets change the pictures on the Best Deal Offer Pages.

Again navigate to the page with the image on it that you wish to change. Right click on the image and go to "Image Properties" as seen below.

Right, let's find a new image, lets navigate to your Image Bank.

So now we have changed the first picture on the Best Deals page. Simply repeat this process by right clicking on the 2nd picture seen on your page.

If no picture is available, it is possible to upload/use your own picture. (Read More). Alternatively you may wish to display one of the two default pictures that promote your telephone number etc. An example of the two default pictures are shown below.

Lets now add/change/modify the offers on your site. (Ie, European Beach, Short Haul etc.).

Editing the offers on your European Beach Holidays or Short Haul pages are again, very simple. Simply navigate to the page you wish to edit.

The pages have 3 offers already in place for each area. To add a new row please follow the steps below. You can use this process to delete rows as well.

To enter a new row, simply click on the empty row (as seen below) and hit "ctrl" + "m" together. This will insert a new row. (see below).

ok so now we have created a new row for a 4th offer to be inputted. (You would simply repeat this process for how many new offers you wish to add).

So now we have the row, we need to copy the offer layout into that row ready for you to input the offer details. To do this please follow the instructions below.

TOP TIP: Always add a new row as shown above first before copying an offer to put in. Try not to copy and paste the table into a row that you have NOT created. Always create the row first and then proceed to copy and paste the offer into it.
How to edit your Holiday Extras Page.
Your Holiday Extras page contains external links for the extras. At any time you can change these links. To do so simply, navigate to your Holiday Extras page and edit the page. (Your Holiday Extras page is called "holiday-extras.asp"
How to edit other pages seen on your travel web site.

Editing other parts of your site is possible. Simply open up the page you wish to edit via contribute and "edit" the page. The areas of the page you can edit are shown with Green boxes around the content area you can change. If when you hover over an area of your site and you see this symbol, This part is not editable.

Changing the Titles, Keywords and descriptions to each page is possible. To do these tasks simply navigate to the page you wish to change the keywords on etc. Once the page is ready to be edited, go to Format at the top and select "Keywords and Descriptions" as seen below.
